Professor of political sociology at King Saud University in Riyadh
He was a visiting professor at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington D.C. He has a PhD in political sociology from the University of California in Los Angeles. He writes for Arab and international newspapers such as the Saudi Alriyadh, the London-based Al-Hayat, the Emirati Al Ittihad and The New York Times. Al-Dakhil is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Palestinian Studies in Beirut. He comments regularly on the Arab world and the Gulf region.
