Visiting Professor of Political Science at the School of Oriental and African Studies

Is a Visiting Professor of Political Science at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He acquired a PhD in Comparative Politics, with a focus on the role of political power in the formation of public opinion, in 1996. Abdelmajed has taught political systems in several Arab and international universities like Zayed University, Cairo University, SOAS and the University of Cambridge. He has participated in several research projects including “Alternative Futures for Egypt 2020” under the supervision of the United Nations Development Programme and in coordination with the Egyptian Foreign and International Development Ministries. In addition, Abdelmajed has numerous publications including The American Imperial Project in the Region and the Resistance Strategy and Islamic Tradition and the Theory and Foreign Interactions of Power.
