The leader of the Egyptian Ghad Ethawra party.
A Lawyer, journalist, and the leader of the party Ghad Ethawra. He was a member of the Egyptian parliament for ten years (1995-2005). He also fought presidential election against Mubarak in 2005. As a result of that, He was arrested for five years as a punishment for waging those elections, he founded and headed El Ghad party. After the January revolution he founded Ghad Ethawra party and he feels proud to be the leader so far. He was a member of the Constituent Assembly to draft a constitution in 2012 and was elected as an agent of the Constituent Assembly, but he resigned because of his opposition to some of the articles in the Constitution and to the method of management of the assembly, He was as well a member of the National Council for Human Rights in 2013.
