Deputy Director of the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies in Sakarya University
Ismail Numan Telci received his BA from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Istanbul University in 2006 and completed his MA in European Studies in Hochschule Bremen in 2008. Mr Telci started his PhD at the Department of International Relations at Sakarya University. As part of his research he worked as a visiting scholar at the Centre for Civilisations and Dialogue of Cultures at Cairo University from November 2012 to August 2013. While in Egypt, Mr Telci completed his research project entitled “Dictionary of the Egyptian Revolution” which was published in January 2014. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies in Sakarya University. His research focuses on Egyptian politics, social movements in Egypt, Arab revolutions, revolution theories and Turkish-Egyptian relations.
