Professor of Middle East History and a Senior Researcher at Al Jazeera Centre for Studies
He served as a lecturer of Islamic history at Birbeck, University of London. His research interests include Egypt, Iraq, Islamist movements and reform. Nafi has written, edited and contributed chapters in several books in Arabic and English about the history of Arab nationalism, the Palestinian issue, modern Islamist movements and the history of Islamic thought in addition to his regular contributions to news outlets such as The Middle East Eye and Al-Quds Al-Arabi.
