He previously served as a visiting fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin and as a political researcher at the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA) in Ankara. He is a regular contributor to the Turkey policy brief series of the German Marshall Fund of the United States. His writings have appeared in Foreign Affairs, Al Jazeera, World Politics Review, The Middle East Eye and Open Democracy. In addition to his duties as an editor at the book review department of Turkey’s Vision and a blogger at Huffington Post, he also hosts a weekly television show on Turkey’s foreign policy on TV Net.
