Associate Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University
He served as the head of postgraduate studies unit at the College of Social Sciences at the same university from 2010 to 2014. Abu Sulaib received his PhD in political science from the University of Manchester in 2009 and a master’s degree from the University of California, Riverside in 2003. He is a member of the American Political Science Association and the British International Studies Association. In addition, Abu Sulaib received Kuwait Prize in political science in 2015. His academic interests cover many areas including the international relations and foreign polices of the regional states and US political affairs. He published a number of books, including US Foreign Policy towards the Gulf States and Neoconservatives. Much of Abu Sulaib’s research has been published in a number of publications and refereed journals such as the Journal of the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies and the Journal of Social Sciences.
