He holds a PhD in Development Economics from the Philipp University of Marburg. He published research papers and contributed chapters in books, including Religious Reform and Cultural Change: Toward a Humanist View and Islamists and Issues of State and Citizenship. He is the author of two books: The Question of Identity in North Africa: Diversity and Fusion in Human, Language, Culture and History and The Ukrainian Crisis and the East-West Struggle: A Study of the Socio-Economic and Political Roots of the Ukrainian Crisis.
