A history Professor at the Doha Institute for Higher Studies
He has taught in a number of universities including the University of Manchester, Exeter University and Oxford University. He also was the Director General of the Centre for Arab Unity Studies in Beirut. Choueiri has authored several publications in Arabic and English, including Aspects of Arab Nationalism, The Modern Arab Historical Writing, Islamic Fundamentalism and A Companion to the History of the Middle East.
